The book club will meet on Saturday, September 20, at 9:00 a.m. at the church to discuss "The Briar Club" by Kate Quinn. The novel is a haunting and powerful story of female friendships and secrets in a Washington, D.C. boardinghouse during the McCarthy era. Our final discussion of the year will be on November 15 when we'll talk about Driving Miss Norma by Tim Bauerschmitt. This book is the real-life story of Norma, a ninety-year-old widow who is diagnosed with cancer. Instead of undergoing surgery, chemo, and radiation, Norma decides to hit the road in an RV with her son and daughter-in-law.
